A little about ME

by corkig on June 27th, 2008

Hi everyone,

My name is Jake. My foster dad calls me Jacob. But I am know as Jake to most. I was brought to the rescue because my owners were told that you cannot train a 2 year old schnauzer. Well I proved them wrong.

I learned a lot of new things. When I first arrived at my foster home I got started in puppy classes for socialization and also attend a class called obedience. Since those classes, I have learned to sit, stay, walk on a leash where at least what I think is right. (My foster mom is wrong on the walking thing, I am suppose to pull.) I have also learned that there are things called bones that I can chew on, and toys to play with as well as my mentor Peaches to play with. We love to romp and play, even chase the cats. I am an active boy and love my people.

After my classes and a little more training I was planning to go back to my owner’s home. But my excitement was too much for the children, their youngest being 4 years old. (I don’t think so.) I am a little aggressive with my food bowl, but as long as you tell me what you are doing I feel more comfortable.

I know when my foster mom grabs cookies, I am to run into my kennel. I love car rides and to sit on the dog bed and enjoy the sites passing by. Occasionally I get to ride on mom’s lap but that is Peaches spot and I like the dog bed better.
