If we can get people to choose breeders or rescue groups/shelters for obtaining their pets instead of stores....SUPER! Every little helps. For me, it was putting my money where my mouth is. I was just discussing with my 8th graders 1)Why you should say something when you see injustice happening, 2) What you can do, and 3)Had them choose something(s) that they would stand up for. I used this as an example.
