Brees new blanket

This last Saturday Bree got to hang out with Laura, Murphy and Bailey. Laura. Laura has a friend who made some wonderful soft blankets that she wanted to give one to Bree. Laura held up the green and blue blanket and Bree picked the blue one. Perhaps she thinks it will match her collar nicely. Bree loves to snuggle and nest. That is one of the first things she did when we got her. She would find random things on the floor or furniture to make a nest out of. We have since put the blanket in her kennel so she can snuggle with it at night and anytime she wants to hang out in there. Bree is very thankful for her generous gift. And is excited to go to the Pet Expo this weekend.

cool new blanket!! I couldn’t figure out why our couch cushions were always all screwed up… then I realized that Betsy is climbing to the top of the couch to lay on the blanket!!! Blankets are good! :)

Our little Bree is such a cutie! J and C and Peanut and Jack have done amazing things getting her comfortable and socialized. Bree Bree says “thanks Lori G. and family (you know who you are) for my new blankie!

Fosters Needed

The busy season is quickly approaching and it is a known fact that after the Holidays many dogs will turned into shelters and rescues. The laws are also changing on breeding. Large scale breeders will soon stop breeding because it will not be possible. Humane living conditions, adequate food, water, exercise, and health certificates requires more money and time that the breeders do not have. This means before the laws pass they are giving their dogs to rescue. These dogs are called Puppy Mill Dogs: These dogs are breeding stock. That's it. They have not been loved and have not known love. This is the biggest difference between a normal pet and these dogs. In the mill, they are not cared for, other than to feed. They are not held, they are not petted, they are not played with, they are not comforted when they are afraid, they get nothing more than 4 wire walls and food. Our Foster Program provides all this and more! Breeders will be giving an average of 7-20 dogs to rescues and that means we need more foster homes. If you are a nurturing person and love animals you can help. With little or no cost to you and have the patience, time, and compassion fostering is very rewarding. The dogs from rescue come from different situations that was no fault of their own. We take them out of the bad situation they are in and place them in foster homes until they are adopted. MSPMSR does not have a physical location and our foster based program relies on people like you to open your home to one in need. Because of the economy, changing lifestyles, and people getting dogs without knowing what to expect has increased each month we need more foster homes.
