Tags and Lucy Belle spent the first day in their new forever home supervising yard work activities and napping.   They were adopted by Karen (and her daughter Sara) who has always wanted two Mini Schnauzers.  It is true, Minis are like potato chips — you can’t have just one!

Folded ears soft as down, they bounced when you came to greet me.

Silky brown eyes, rich as chocolate, saw not my worst, but my best.

You loved me when I cried and you sat with me through storms.

You gave me your trust and your warmth.

Now you will learn to trust another who will love you as I do.

You deserve a palace and the absolute best.

But would settle for much less because you are you.

I’m sorry when I drove away that I did not come back.

I cannot give you what you need and keep myself on track.

You will have a place to rest your sweet head and family for your own.

But we will always love you and you’ll never be alone.
