We’re happy to announce Oscar has been adopted!
Carla and I wanted to extend our thanks to Jeremiah and Christine for bringing Oscar over on Saturday. We have been so busy hanging out with him that we neglected to let anyone know how it has been going. It is going great!!
We love this dog. Each day he seems to get a little less sad and reserved. He loves the long walks in the park and hanging out in the yard with his new little/older brother Sami (Maltese). The two get along pretty well and he has made friends with the neighbor’s dogs (Willie and Jack). When Oscar sees that Sami is a little sad or jealous, he will approach Sami and give him a quick lick to the face. He is soooo sweet.
Oscar has a great appetite and sleeps throughout the night. He goes straight to his crate when we are leaving to work. When we return from work he goes crazy with happiness. Lots of barking, and kisses. Oscar enjoys chewing on his bone and will play with us for up-to 10-15 minutes a day. He seems to be open to playing more each day.
We feel Oscar was very loved and cared for by his previous family. We are worried that they miss him, and we would love it if we could send you more pics and an updates to send to his first family or add to the Happy Endings site. Is that ok?

Thank you for the update on Oscar. He is such a smart boy. You may certainly post more updates if you wish. It is always good to hear from our extended families. Hope to see you at a schnauzer event soon.

One thing I forgot to put in here, was Oscar knows many tricks and has been well trained. I’m so proud of anyone that can teach their dog to sit, lay down, shake and play dead!
