About Us
- Mpls./St. Paul Miniature Schnauzer Rescue mainly corresponds through e-mail and telephone calls. We meet at least twice a year to discuss fund raising and plan other activities we plan to do. We focus on providing owners a means to have their purebred Miniature Schnauzers placed by a reputable dog rescue group. The group has many organizational forms we use to make this process professional.
- We also educate the public on how to find a dog, responsible dog ownership, training issues. Irresponsible breeders, pet stores, and other sellers of dogs do not care where their dogs are being placed, resulting in overcrowded shelters. Going through a breed rescue group will stop this cycle of dogs being given way to “Just Anyone.” MSPMSR.org takes responsibility for proper placement and what the breeders should have done to begin with.

- Our rescue group has monthly events to keep up with our families that have adopted dogs through us. We also welcome other miniature schnauzer owners to meet us and to become more involved with miniature schnauzer rescue. Educational speakers, holiday parties, how to groom your dog, and picnics are a few events we hold each year.
We have over 40 wonderful volunteers that do foster care, transport, home visits, event organization, grooming, training and much more!

We hope to expand our services to Iowa, North & South Dakota, & Wisconsin by getting more volunteers involved from these states. There is not a miniature schnauzer rescue in these states and often we get calls for out-of state adoptions inquiries.
If you are interested adopting one of our rescues, please fill out our Application and mail it to the address above.
