Jackson’s Happy Ending!

I am very happy to report that Jackson’s has a happy ending. He was adopted by a fantastic family and now is the baby brother to 13-year old Libby the schnauzer. Libby and Jackson are getting along very well – especially considering that Libby has been an only dog for all of her life! Jack likes to climb in bed with his sister, likes to snuggle with his people, likes to be outside, and he LOVES to play! He has had reunions with his foster family and his foster brothers and sisters since he has been with his new family. Thanks to Ron and Susan for opening your hearts and home to this special boy!

Jackson has been having lots of fun and learning new things every day with his foster family. Yesterday was a big day for him. His foster fur sister, Cessi (a former MSPMSR rescue!) taught him to eat raspberries right off the canes. They both now just run out to the raspberry patch and sniff around to see if there are any berries within their reach.

Jackson then came in and had a long game of fetch with his foster dad. I love this video- he looks so cute with the huge tennis ball in his mouth.

After all that fun and action, Jackson was ready to pass out. Not minding that Cessi was already in the dog bed, he climbed on in!

What a fun day for a little pup!

I came home from school today to find that my little Houdini, Benjamin, had managed to escape the little fenced in area he calls home while I work. The joke is he landed in Jackson’s side instead of freedom. Hahaha little boy!

Jackson Comes to Play

This week Jackson has joined Benjamin and Talis. Keeping up with two little puppies is a source of entertainment for everyone. Jackson and Ben have a new favorite game….gang up on Talis! Talis likes the challenge and enjoys playing keep away with the little kids’ favorite toys. The boys also have invented a new hide and seek game using my bed skirt. Talis plays ref from his perch on the edge of the bed. Wish my video would work, it is sooooo stinkin’ fun to watch.

Here is Jackson -another one of Sara’s 4 puppies. Jackson is doing very well in his foster home. He has not had many pottying accidents (though we do take him out every couple of hours), he loves to play with the big dogs (2 adult minis), and he is sleeping mostly through the night in a crate in the bedroom. He is very much a curious little pup who doesn’t stop unless it is to sleep. Here’s my first (of many) attempts to get a photo of him for this blog:

I gave up and had his foster dad hold him since he was a wiggle worm!

Like all of Sara’s puppies, Jackson will need to go to obedience training and will need to be constantly watched as you never know what he’s going to get into! That being said, I think he’s a prince and will be a very good boy to whatever forever family adopts him.
