Carla and I wanted to extend our thanks to Jeremiah and Christine for bringing Oscar over on Saturday. We have been so busy hanging out with him that we neglected to let anyone know how it has been going. It is going great!!

We love this dog. Each day he seems to get a little less sad and reserved. He loves the long walks in the park and hanging out in the yard with his new little/older brother Sami (Maltese). The two get along pretty well and he has made friends with the neighbor’s dogs (Willie and Jack). When Oscar sees that Sami is a little sad or jealous, he will approach Sami and give him a quick lick to the face. He is soooo sweet.

Oscar has a great appetite and sleeps throughout the night. He goes straight to his crate when we are leaving to work. When we return from work he goes crazy with happiness. Lots of barking, and kisses. Oscar enjoys chewing on his bone and will play with us for up-to 10-15 minutes a day. He seems to be open to playing more each day.

We feel Oscar was very loved and cared for by his previous family. We are worried that they miss him, and we would love it if we could send you more pics and an updates to send to his first family or add to the Happy Endings site. Is that ok?

Here’s Oscar Meyer Wiener!

We celebrated Oscar’s 6th birthday yesterday.

This guy has sit, shook hands, layed down, and licked his way into our foster home.

He’s quite the neat guy, with a pretty decent life story. He comes to us from a nice family in Iowa that with many tears have decided to let MSPMSR find Oscar a forever home that will have more time for him.

Oscar likes running around the backyard with his new foster brother and sister.  I have even caught Oscar, stomping his feet at Jack and Peanut.  He’s been all over the backyard and has helped Jack scare all the gray squirrels away.

Oscar got to attend the Meet and Greet and met many furry friends and many potential Humans he could choose to live with.

It was really great to see him running around and getting tons of attention. Oscar wants his first family to know that he’s okay and that he’s a big boy.

We promise to find him a great home where he’ll snore every night. =)
