Lincoln has a Happy Tale

Last of the 4 puppies were placed. Lincoln found a forever family with a new brother that he met at his foster moms grooming shop. They had so much fun playing that day and wouldn’t stop kissing each other. After the New Mom saw how much the liked each other she also fell in love with him. He has a huge yard to investigate daily. His new house is beautiful and has lots of humans to pay attention to him. He already visited their cabin. We know he will be well socialized and trained because one of the girls is in 4-H and plans to take him to training. He and the family bonded immediately and we are so happy for him.

Penny’s Happy Ending

Laura, Penny’s adopted mom sent this note to us:

We were very lucky to have MSPMSR approve our adoption for this special little puppy. Penny has settled in very quickly. She is desperately in love with her new big brother Murphy, the Westie. A rescue himself, Murphy has done an absolutely amazing job raising Penny and teaching her doggy manners. She, like all puppies, play bites to experience the world around her, and she has learned from us, but especially Murphy, what the line is and not to cross it. She sleeps with her head on Murphy’s leg or tail, just to be touching him. She goes out with him to go potty and they play wrestle constantly. She also loves sleeping with daddy Kenny on the couch on her back. Bailey, her Miniature Schnauzer big brother, thinks she’s a bother and I don’t think he will have much use for her until she grows out of the puppy stage.

We scheduled puppy kindergarten for her, and I have every confidence Penny will excel. Preliminary training at home has gone very well. She is a real prodigy and loves to please.

Sara did an excellent job raising all of these wonderful and sweet puppies. Look for Penny and hopefully all of Sara’s puppies at the MSPMSR booth at the Pet Expo in February.

This is my friend Scooter he plays with me a lot and is very patient. He likes to make me chase him. Scooter told me to look for something out of the ordinary. I still don’t see anything. I want to get big and strong like him.

Jackson has been having lots of fun and learning new things every day with his foster family. Yesterday was a big day for him. His foster fur sister, Cessi (a former MSPMSR rescue!) taught him to eat raspberries right off the canes. They both now just run out to the raspberry patch and sniff around to see if there are any berries within their reach.

Jackson then came in and had a long game of fetch with his foster dad. I love this video- he looks so cute with the huge tennis ball in his mouth.

After all that fun and action, Jackson was ready to pass out. Not minding that Cessi was already in the dog bed, he climbed on in!

What a fun day for a little pup!
