Scooter is in heaven with the nice weather. We are going to the Dog Park as much as we can. He loves seeing other dogs now and isn’t scared of their size. He has learned to calm himself and found out his own technique. He waits very patiently hiding , then he does a play bow, and they are off! He is still afraid of strangers and will chase bicycles. Though, why do people ride bikes in a dog park? A tired dog is a happy dog!

He thinks the other dogs can't see him lying down.

He can calmly sit by other dogs now.

Who says Schnauzers don't like water?

Where did everyone go?

Madison

Here is Madison with her best friend Scooter the black miniature schnauzer. They love to wrestle and are continually chewing on each others beards. Zooming around the yard is their favorite pastime.

She is really trying to sit still, though she really wants to go back to the playroom and play with all her schnauzer pals.

Here Scooter is with a new foster puppy. They have a great time together and are rarely apart. Pull toy, chase, and wrestling what they like to do best.

: Scooter loves to be outside with other dogs and people he trusts. His favorite place of all is the Dog Park along the Mississippi River. Not many schnauzer like to run through the water and get their feet wet, though Scooter thinks it is fun. If he isn’t rolling around with the puppy here, he is running big circles in our yard. He gets so excited in the car to go places with his foster Mom. He is so playful and full of energy. If it was his choice, he would be outside all day long.

Are you coming? When he goes to work with her he jumps up on the grooming table to get groomed and knows he will get a treat if he is a good boy. He needs a home where someone knows the true schnauzer personality being a bigger boy and strong.

Scooter’s Vacation

Scooter spent 12 days with Max and while his foster family was on vacation. The first night he cried, but after that he was fine. He and Max had a lot of fun chasing each other in the backyard. Scooter would grab a toy so Max would chase him.

Scooter helped with yard and garden work. When I would weed the garden, Scooter would take the weeds I pulled out of the pail and distribute them to the rest of the yard. One day when I was weeding the garden, I noticed Scooter was trying to help by digging a hole.

He and Max had a fun play date with their doggy friends, Poppy and Dakota. Scooter loves to have the other dogs chase him. He can run so fast and no one can catch him. Also, he got to play with a Tibetan Terrier named Zoey who came over for a visit.
Scooter and Max loved to wrestle. When Max had too much wrestling, he would let Scooter know and Scooter would back off. A few of the stuffed dog toys are missing some fur because Scooter and Max were playing tug-o-war.

Max would never admit this but I think he kind of misses Scooter. I miss Scooter, too. He was a lot of fun to have around.
