Hunter is Teddy's forever brother now

Teddy was rescued from a puppy mill 2 years ago

I thought of you today as Teddy was running around playing with Hunter. He had his “bossy paws” in full motion. He is doing well and we just adore him. He and Hunter sleep together (when Teddy isn’t with our son Blake) they groom each other, play tug of war and and believe it or not…still have not figured out who is in charge after a year and a half! Anyway, I just wanted you to know,he is doing great!

Tobie is really sweet and right now he’s really attached to me, I’m sure he’ll become really attached to his new owner too once he’s adopted.  He is quiet when I put him in his crate at sleep and he sleeps alone fine.  However, I am guessing that if he sleeps alone in his new house he will be whining for a while before he gets used to it.  He has some weird mannerisms like I think all schnauzers do… makes weird grunting noises when you rub his belly or back and likes to bury his face in your lap.  Here is a picture of him when he was a puppy and now he is 3 years old.

He does sometimes get too excited, jumping up and making some noise, but I think that if he can be around people more often that will level out.    Right now he just becomes so excited when he sees me, and I know that he isn’t getting enough attention so I think that’s why.  He learns quickly but also forgets quickly but is eager to please.  If it were up to me I would be keeping him, he’s a really sweet dog.  If there is more or different info you want to know, just ask.  Oh yeah he’s really well house-trained too, doesn’t mark his territory even though he’s not neutered.  MSPMSR will neuter Tobie prior to adoption as we do not adopt adult dogs intact and he will be current on all his vaccinations.

Once MSPMSR finds a foster home Tobie can come into the program or maybe someone out there wants me now?

Folded ears soft as down, they bounced when you came to greet me.

Silky brown eyes, rich as chocolate, saw not my worst, but my best.

You loved me when I cried and you sat with me through storms.

You gave me your trust and your warmth.

Now you will learn to trust another who will love you as I do. 

You deserve a palace and the absolute best. 

But would settle for much less because you are you.

I’m sorry when I drove away that I did not come back.

I cannot give you what you need and keep myself on track.

You will have a place to rest your sweet head and family for your own.

But we will always love you and you’ll never be alone.
